What the source record says
EdgeConneX's ~$1B multi-phase "MCN New Albany" South campus. Per the Ohio Tax Credit Authority scope-of-work filing: Phase I converts a ~525,000 sq ft existing warehouse (9850 Innovation Campus Way) into an 80 MW data center; Phase II proposes two new 72 MW facilities (144 MW) — capacityMw.planned = 224 (80 + 144, IT load). A co-located PowerConneX natural-gas energy center (reported 140–216 MW of generation across sources) is EXCLUDED from capacityMw as on-site generation, not IT load. Footprint spans the South PropCo 2 parcels (~97 ac incl. the built anchor) plus the adjacent North PropCo 1 parcel (3356 Clover Valley Rd NW, 170 ac); ~267 ac combined. "MCN" is EdgeConneX's internal project prefix (not publicly decoded). Distinct from EdgeConneX's separate Piper Farms parcel (~5 mi away) and from edgeconnex-ashville-oh (Pickaway County). Public-reception check (2026-09-10): IMPORTANT DISAMBIGUATION: this is EdgeConneX's New Albany/Licking County campus (Innovation Campus Way; Phase 1 120MW, Phase 2 216MW, Phase 3 430MW). It is a SEPARATE EdgeConneX project from the heavily-opposed EdgeConneX proposal in Ashville, Pickaway County, OH (denied annexation 2026-02-02 after packed council meetings and a Change.org petition) -- do not merge that record's contention into this one. For New Albany/Licking County specifically, a land-purchase article (2025, checked 2026-09-10) mentions only general Central Ohio-wide concern that data centers could raise electricity costs, immediately caveated because this project's power comes from dedicated on-site generation (PowerConneX), not the residential grid. No hearing, resident testimony, or official statement specific to this Licking County site was found.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
