One of Amazon Web Services' four Spotsylvania/Caroline data center campuses (Summit Crossing, Carter's Store, Cosner [tracked as aws-cosner-technology-campus-massaponax-va, ST23-0031], Orrock [tracked as aws-mattermeade-caroline-va]). ~231 acres, up to ~2.1M sq ft of data center buildings (Phase 1 max ~900k sq ft). Located on the south side of Summit Crossing Road, ~0.5 mi west of the Spotsylvania/Caroline county line; borders the Carter's Store campus. Amazon Data Services filed June 2023 to rezone from Rural (RU) to Industrial-1 (I-1); Board of Supervisors approved the four AWS rezonings in a 5-2 vote in October 2023 (Spotsylvania "ST23" case series). Reported under construction / buildings going up per The Fredericksburg Advance (2026). Coordinates approximate (Summit Crossing Road geocode; parcels not GIS-confirmed this pass).
