What the source record says

Proposed ~$1B hyperscale campus at Covenant Business Park, Lowell Township, outside Grand Rapids. Originally filed under Franklin Lowell LLC / Franklin Partners (that application was withdrawn in Dec 2025 amid opposition); Microsoft has since publicly identified itself as the developer (named itself Jan 2026 per secondary reporting, not independently re-confirmed this session) and is pursuing a revamped proposal. Lowell Township's board rejected a proposed moratorium 2-5 and instead formed a committee to draft a data-center-specific ordinance -- i.e. the township itself stayed open to the project even as public reaction has been heavily negative at open houses. Only one independent outlet directly verified this session (WoodTV and Crain's Detroit coverage exist but returned 403 on fetch) -- kept at 'reported' rather than 'confirmed' pending a second direct source. Coordinates are an approximate Lowell Township estimate, not parcel-geocoded. Status re-check, NO change: the rezoning application has been neither approved nor denied - the planning commission took no decision and continued the matter to further meetings - so the record correctly stays 'proposed'. No megawatt, acreage, jobs or water figures were stated. Separately, secondary reporting says the City of Lowell suspended water/sewer negotiations with the township over the project; I could not confirm that from a fetchable page (WOODTV returned 403), so it is flagged as an unverified lead rather than recorded.

Capacity is not ranked or totaled here.

Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
