What the source record says
Land next to US-131 in Dorr Township, ~20 miles from Microsoft's separate Gaines Township site (microsoft-gaines-township-kent-county-mi). Acreage reported inconsistently across outlets: 'more than 200 acres' per one report, 'nearly 270 acres' per county property maps per another; purchased in 2024. Microsoft's own statement: project plans, capital investment, and employee numbers are not yet finalized. Township Supervisor (Dec 2025): officials still waiting on Microsoft to submit a development plan; company had hoped to start construction spring 2026. Community concern centers on water and electricity use. Coordinates are an approximate Dorr Township / US-131 estimate, not parcel-geocoded.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
