The natural-gas power facility described as adjacent to Vantage's planned Millersport campus means the campus will not affect electricity costs for local residents or businesses.
What the evidence supports
Vantage says the proposed roughly 1,300 MW Fairfield Energy Center would power its adjacent campus without connecting to the local or regional grid. Fairfield Energy says it applied to the Ohio Power Siting Board as Case No. 26-0160-EL-BGN for up to 1,350 MW net gas generation and about 1,040 MW of battery storage, and that construction cannot begin until required approvals and permits are obtained. Those generation figures are not data-center IT capacity. The plans make the relationship clearer, but they still cannot establish future retail-bill effects as an observed outcome, and no post-hearing OPSB order is published.
