What the source record says
Site north of Milan-Oakville Road, east of Hitchingham Road, Augusta Township, Washtenaw County MI (between Ann Arbor and Monroe). No end user announced; planners cited Google and Microsoft as typical users of this facility type. Form8tion is Thor's digital infrastructure arm (founded March 2023). Capacity not disclosed; at least five large buildings planned. Voter referendum outcome will determine project viability. Coordinates are approximate Augusta Township centroid. SOURCE CONFLICT RESOLVED 2026-08-08: the earlier "rejected by voters" claim in an article predating the election was a pre-election piece describing the UPCOMING vote — the dates now reconcile because the referendum has since been held. Augusta Township voters overturned the 522-acre rezoning on 2026-08-04 (about 90% to overturn), so the parcels revert to agricultural residential. Recorded as "cancelled" because the project's enabling rezoning is gone; note that Thor Equities has NOT publicly withdrawn, and the results were unofficial as of 2026-08-05 — revisit if the developer re-applies or the count is certified differently. Status re-check, NO change: the record's 'cancelled' status dated 2026-08-04 corresponds to the Aug. 4 veto referendum on the 522-acre rezoning, and nothing found indicates a revival, appeal or re-rezoning since. CAVEAT: I could not fetch a page carrying the certified vote totals - the Ballotpedia result page returned empty content - so this confirms the mechanism and date, not the tally. Worth one more check before the record is treated as settled.
