What the source record says
⚠️ ADJUDICATION REQUIRED - POSSIBLE OVERLAP WITH AN EXISTING ROW. NCPR states "the facility would include three buildings totaling nearly 1.5 million square feet at the former Reynolds site, about eight miles outside of the village of Massena and near the bridge to Canada. The operation would consume 635 megawatts of power. That equates to roughly 70% of the power produced at the Moses-Saunders Power Dam. The developer, North Country Collocation Services, or NCCS, presented its plan to the board." The former Reynolds Metals plant is the same industrial complex as the 'Alcoa East' site that the existing crypto_mining row coinmint-massena-ny sits on (that row is at 44.9777, -74.7327), and trade press frames this as NYDIG - the current owner of that mining operation - seeking to EXPAND at the Massena site. I have recorded it as a separate proposed data_center because the three buildings, the 635 MW load and the planning-board proceeding are a distinct new project with a distinct developer entity, but if the maintainer prefers one row per site this should be folded into coinmint-massena-ny instead. Coordinates are an approximate placement on that industrial complex derived from the source's description, NOT a surveyed parcel. Confirmed absences (2026-09-09): the fetched sources state no investment figure, no job counts, no acreage, no water-use figure, no utility, and no subsidy or IDA agreement. NOT recorded because unverified in this run: reporting elsewhere describes 316 diesel generators on site and a zoning question referred to the Zoning Board of Appeals over whether a large-scale data center is a permitted use in the industrial zone.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
