What the source record says
Located in Mililani Technology Park, Central O'ahu, 10 miles inland and 850 feet above sea level, outside major flood, tsunami, and hurricane zones. Building 2 will approximately 10x the existing 1MW IT capacity of MTP Building 1 (Hawaii's only Uptime Institute Tier IV certified facility). Designed to withstand Category 5 hurricane-force winds. Primary use is enterprise colocation; no AI-specific tenant announced. DCD (February 2026) reports project is in design phase; 'broke ground' claim in original record is unsupported by the cited source. Hawaii's structural barriers (highest US electricity costs, limited grid capacity) make large-scale hyperscale AI builds unlikely; Servpac MTP2 is the only Hawaii project of note found.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
