What the source record says
Speculative build-to-suit data center proposed for the southeast corner of I-69 and US 50 near Washington in Daviess County on a ~120-acre site. Developer estimated a demand of 250-500 MW, $100-250M in buildings plus $500M-$1B in tenant equipment, ~$70M in tax revenue over 10 years, and 100-150 jobs. The Washington City Council voted unanimously in May 2026 to terminate dealings with the developer, effectively cancelling the proposal. Coordinates are an approximate geocode of the I-69/US 50 interchange east of Washington.
