What the source record says
Indian River State College's 'Okee-One' project on the former Florida School for Boys site off US 441, a 205-acre site reported by WLRN as a 9-to-10-megawatt facility (figure given as a range, not a single confirmed number, so no capacityMw field is set here). Effectively shut down after Okeechobee County commissioners voted April 23, 2026 to remove the 'Special Technology Opportunity Centers' designation from the county's comprehensive economic growth plan, following a petition against the project that gathered more than 3,000 signatures. The state had previously granted IRSC $1.5M from the Rural Infrastructure Fund for the project; DeSantis administration officials later told Tampa Bay Times they felt misled about its scale and AI-data-center purpose.
Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
