Deep River Data is majority-managed by HM Tech, which runs an existing bitcoin mining and ASIC repair facility in Graham, NC. The company says the North Carolina site would serve AI workloads rather than crypto mining. As of the reporting cited, the project is pre-feasibility: nothing has been approved, permitted or built, and no capacity figure has been published. Site is south of U.S. 421 near the Lee–Chatham county line; coordinates are the Cumnock community, not a parcel.
