What the source record says

Proposed data center (Marshall Technology & Energy Center, MTEC) plus a co-located natural-gas electric generation facility within Brooks Industrial Park, Marshall. WWMT (2026-04) resolves the load split that earlier reporting left open: up to 1,400 MW required at full buildout, around 1,000 MW of that from on-site gas turbines and up to 400 MW imported from the grid at peak — so capacityMw.planned is the campus power requirement and the 1 GW plant is carried both in energy.onSiteGenerationMw and as its own power_generation record. ~270 acres (112 buildable), roughly half wetlands. Alterra (Toronto-based) estimates 300-500 direct high-skill jobs. Mayor Wolfersberger (2026-01) called it "just a concept" with "no site plans or utility agreements yet"; due diligence runs into Q3 2026, then construction is "probably 18 months to two years away" if approved. Land is already zoned heavy industrial, so no public referendum is required (unlike Augusta Township). Planned closed-loop liquid cooling. Coordinates are an approximate Marshall-area estimate, not parcel-geocoded; the LDFA purchase price ($1.12M) is for land only, not a project investment figure. capacityMw and jobs deliberately left unfilled rather than normalized: the source gives a ceiling ('up to 1,400 megawatts') and a range ('300 to 500 skilled jobs') that does not distinguish construction from permanent. The $1.12M is the land purchase price, not project investment. Figures recorded here for a maintainer to promote if the hedged forms are acceptable.

Capacity is not ranked or totaled here.

Any MW value is reproduced as source-reported context. Its measurement boundary is not established consistently enough for comparison. Unknown is not zero.
